MPs Spend Most of Their Resources on Constituents – Kwakye Ofosu

The Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has stated that Members of Parliament often spend much of their personal resources supporting their constituents.

Speaking on Newsfile, the Minister noted that the financial demands placed on MPs by constituents can be overwhelming, as many people rely on them for various forms of assistance.

He revealed that at one point, after visiting his constituency, he had to call his wife to send him GH¢500 to buy fuel to enable him return to Accra.

According to him, the situation highlights the pressure MPs face in meeting the needs of constituents while performing their parliamentary duties.
