Hearts of Oak Deny Hamza Issah’s Exit, Confirms Contract is Still Valid

Accra Hearts of Oak has emphatically denied the widespread reports of player Hamza Issah’s contract being terminated and leaving, as reported in the media space.

According to Hearts of Oak, Issah has a valid and legally binding contract with no ambiguity.

It has also debunked claims that there is no competent judicial, regulatory, or arbitral body, including the Ghana Football Association’s Player Status Committee (GFA PSC), or that FIFA has issued any ruling for confirmation that the said contract has been fully terminated.

In a press statement released on Wednesday, it stated that the club has not defaulted persistently or materially on its financial obligations in a manner that would constitute “just cause” for unilateral termination under the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players.

It added that the club has met with the player and his representatives on two separate occasions and acted in good faith to address and resolve all outstanding concerns.

Hearts of Oak condemns the unauthorized disclosure and public circulation of confidential correspondence by the player’s representatives, describing such conduct as unprofessional, misleading, and incompetent with established ethical and regulatory standards governing football administration.

The club also informed FIFA of Siwelele Football Club, the South African club Hamza was reported to be heading to.

Hearts of Oak has also initiated complaints against ProSports International and Siwelele Football Club with FIFA and other relevant authorities.

Also, they are pursuing all available legal and regulatory remedies to protect the integrity of the club.

The statement further urged its supporters, stakeholders, and the general public to rely solely on information issued through the Club’s official communication channels.

It concluded that it remains committed to professionalism, transparency, and regulatory compliance and the protection of contractual stability within the sport.
