FC Samartex secures first CAF Champions league victory

Ghana Premier League champions, FC Samartex has made a remarkable start to their first CAF Champions league game after securing a  victory over Cameroonian side Victoria United.

After deadlock first half at the Japoma Stadium, the Timber Boys took Victoria United by the storm with a header from Emmanuel Mamah in the 47th minute.

The return leg will take place at the Accra Sports stadium on August 25th. The winner of that leg will either meet Raja Casablanca or AS GNN after the first encounter went in favor of Raja on 2-1 victory.

Head coach Nurudeen Amadu praised his boys for the victory.
