The Ghana Football Association (GFA) through the Executive Council of the FA has appointed Nurudeen Amadu as Head Coach of the newly established male U-18 National Team.
Nurudeen’s appointment is part of the GFA’s developmental strategy which led to the establishment of the U-18 male team. The team according to the GFA is one of the important national teams as part of the age category developmental teams. It would be source of grooming young players to feed the competitive male national teams.
Coach Nurudeen Amadu and his team are expected to add significant value to players of the U-18 team and hand them onto the older age category teams for further development.
Nurudeen Amadu is the current head coach of current Ghana Premier League leaders, FC Samartex 1996. The experienced gaffer was a former Ghana U-17 assistant coach under Paa Kwesi Fabin in 2014. Amadu will be deputized by Vision FC head coach, Hamza Mohammed Obeng with James Nanor serving as goalkeepers’ coach.
