You can shoot to kill masked people that try to enter your house – Bentil

Kofi Bentil, a private legal practitioner and a staunch supporter of former President Dr. Bawumia has said Ghanaians have the right under the 1992 constitution of Ghana  to resist an arrest from any person in masked adding that such arrest could be a kidnap.

According to the Vice President of IMANI Africa, the same constitution under Article 13(2)a gives the right to Ghanaians to “shoot to kill in your defense”, “if masked people try to enter your house”.

Mr. Bentil made the comment in a Facebook post sighted by Awake News in reaction to news reports that some men in mask, and police officers stormed the house of the Assin South Member of Parliament, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour in an attempt to arrest him.

The attempted arrest followed Rev. Fordjour’s claimed that some two suspicious flights have landed at the Kotoka International Airport on two different occasions with large amount of money and cocaine.

The MP made the revelation at a press conference stating that he has credible information and evidence to support his claims on the money laundering and drug trafficking flights.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama responded swiftly by directing the security agencies to immediately commence investigation into the claims made by the Ranking Member of the Interior and Defense Committee of Parliament while urging him to corporate with the security agencies.

Since the President’s directive, there have been back and fourth that Rev. Fordjour refusing to honor the invitation of the security angecies whiles he also consistently claimed that he has never been invted. 489678812 24249465657974712 2074504876565758187 n

It is based on this that the Police attempted arresting him yesterday.

If a masked person tries to arrest you, you have a right in law to resist it. It could be a kidnap!!
If masked people try to enter your house, you have a constitutional right to shoot to kill in your defense !
