Barcelona have secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals with a 5-3 aggregate win over Borussia Dortmund, despite suffering a 3-1 defeat in the second leg at Signal Iduna Park.

La Blaugrana had built a commanding 4-0 advantage in the first leg, but faced an unexpected scare as Dortmund mounted a spirited comeback on home soil.

Serhou Guirassy starred for the German side with a well-taken hat-trick, opening the scoring early from the penalty spot and striking again in both halves to ignite hopes of a sensational turnaround.

Barcelona responded midway through the second half, capitalizing on an own goal by Ramy Bensebaini that briefly restored their cushion. Despite Dortmund’s relentless pressure and a late third goal from Guirassy, the Catalans held firm to preserve their aggregate lead.

Xavi’s side now awaits a semi-final showdown against either Inter Milan or Bayern Munich, as they continue their quest for European glory.
