“Tithes and Offerings Not a Divine Instruction” — Kwame Bee Questions Church Practices

Programs Manager at Kasapa FM and Agoo TV, Kwame Bee, has ignited public debate after asserting that God has never instructed anyone to collect money in His name through tithes or offerings.

Sharing his views, he questioned the theological foundation of the practice, arguing that the growing emphasis on financial contributions in some churches is not rooted in a direct divine command.

Kwame Bee expressed concern over what he described as the increasing commercialisation of religion, warning that it risks shifting attention away from true worship and spiritual growth.

He maintained that faith should be centred on personal relationship with God, righteous living, and sincerity, rather than monetary obligations imposed on believers.

His comments have since attracted varied reactions across religious circles, with some agreeing that the issue deserves critical reflection, while others insist that tithing and offerings remain essential components of Christian doctrine.

The statement has further fueled ongoing national conversations about transparency, doctrine, and the role of money in contemporary religious practice.
