Speaker grants Afadzato South MP unlimited international conference slots

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has granted the Member of Parliament for Afadzato South, Frank Afriyie, unlimited opportunities to represent Ghana at international conferences, in recognition of his outstanding diligence and precision during the correction of Votes and Proceedings in Parliament.

The special recognition follows Hon. Afriyie’s consistent attention to detail and commitment to ensuring accuracy in parliamentary records, a responsibility considered critical to safeguarding the integrity of legislative documentation and decision-making processes.

Sources within Parliament indicate that Hon. Afriyie has distinguished himself through his thorough scrutiny of parliamentary proceedings, frequently identifying and correcting errors to ensure that official records reflect true and accurate accounts of deliberations and resolutions.

In a Facebook post by Parliament, the Speaker commended the Afadjato South legislator for his dedication, describing his work ethic as exemplary and worthy of national recognition. According to parliamentary insiders, the decision to grant him unlimited conference participation slots is intended not only as a reward but also as an opportunity for Ghana to benefit from his growing expertise and exposure to global legislative best practices.

Hon. Afriyie’s recognition has been welcomed by colleagues and political observers, many of whom view the gesture as a motivation for other legislators to approach parliamentary duties with similar seriousness and professionalism.

The Afadzato South MP has, in recent times, earned a reputation for his active involvement in parliamentary work and constituency development initiatives, further strengthening his profile as a hardworking and detail-oriented lawmaker.

The development is expected to enhance Ghana’s representation at international parliamentary conferences while projecting the country’s commitment to strong legislative governance and accountability.
