Former Vice President Dr. Bawumia was declared the winner, with 110,643 votes, representing 56.5 percent of the total valid votes cast.
The NPP presidential primary, which featured Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, and Dr. Acheampong, was conducted nationwide without biometric verification devices, placing emphasis on internal party structures and delegate registers.
Dr Acheampong and the three other aspirants have all declared their support for flagbearer elect, Dr Bawumia ahead of the 2028 elections.
