Members of the ruling NDC in Talensi constituency have protested against the nomination of John Millim Naabwomya for the DCE position in the constituency.
On Friday, April 4, the Local Government Ministry released the 2nd batch of MMDCE nominees, and the nominee for Talensi is among the list.
However, the nomination of Naabwomya, who is the constituency chairman, sparked anger among members of his party. In protest, the party office is alleged to have been set ablaze.
Sources indicate that personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service were on the ground to put out the fire and also initiate investigations into the incident.
