VIDEO: Mzbel explains her motivations for dating married men

Ghanaian musician Mzbel, whose real name is Belinda Ekua Amoah, has revealed why she chooses to date married guys.

She claims that she likes dating married men since they don’t disturb her with their obligations.

On February 2, 2025, the “16 Years” singer stated in an interview with Empress Gifty that she has always preferred married men in relationships.

She explained that her preference is based on the idea that married men have less obligations than unmarried guys.

“All of the men in my life have been married since I began dating because they come with less obligations. They have to go back to their spouses, so they won’t bother you with housework when they come to you. Since that’s how I got started, I enjoy it that way,” she remarked.

When questioned if she was seeing a married man at the moment, Mzbel was hesitant to reveal who he was.

She did affirm, though, that they are engaged and have a child together.

“I don’t want to know if he’s married, so I haven’t asked him. Despite not being married, I am engaged. He still hasn’t met my family. What counts is that we both have an interest in one another. She said, “He gave me the ring when I asked for it.

“We have a child together. I don’t believe in the idea that he needs to meet my family for an official introduction, it’s between the two of us. He is much older than me,” she added.
