Ghanaian international Kamaldeen Sulemana has reached an agreement to join Italian Serie A side Atalanta from English club Southampton, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The deal is valued at €17.5 million, with potential performance-related add-ons of up to €4 million. It also includes a 15% sell-on clause, which would benefit Southampton in any future transfer involving the winger.

Currently vacationing in Accra, the 22-year-old winger is expected to cut his break short and travel to Bergamo, Italy, for his medical on Friday, June 27.

Career Path and Performance

Sulemana began his professional journey at FC Nordsjælland in Denmark before securing a move to Stade Rennais in France. In January 2023, he joined Southampton for a club-record fee and made 26 Premier League appearances, scoring one goal.

Atalanta’s Plans

Despite a modest goal tally in England, Sulemana’s explosive pace, dribbling skills, and versatility on the left wing have made him a valuable addition for Atalanta. The Serie A club views him as a key asset ahead of the 2025/26 season, as they aim to strengthen their squad for both domestic and European competitions.
