GhanaWeb.com has retracted and apologized to private legal practitioner, Mrs. Elsie Appau-Klu over their previous publication under the headlines, “Deputy GRA Commissioner dragged before EOCO, CHRAJ over ‘unlawful’ land encroachment claims”
Mrs. Appau-Klu who is the Technical Advisor to the Commissioner-General of Ghana Revenue Authority through her lawyers gave the media house 48hours to retract and apologize to her over the publication they discribed as “defamatory, malicious, and false“.
Mrs. Appau-Klu also accused GhanaWeb, its News Editor, and Reporter of violating the ethics of professional journalism for failing to get her side of the story before publication.
In response, the Ghana’s online media gaint has issued the appology under the headlines “Retraction and Appology”
Below is their GhanaWeb said:
