The Future Builders Foundation has extended support to residents of the Lofetume Tsigbene Electoral Area in the Akatsi Municipality through a three-day community outreach programme aimed at improving healthcare access and supporting vulnerable groups.
The programme commenced on Friday, January 23, 2026, with a free health screening exercise organised in collaboration with the Akatsi Municipal Hospital.
The exercise, which took place between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., provided residents with basic health checks and medical consultations at no cost. Health professionals also educated participants on the importance of regular medical examinations and early detection of common health conditions.
On Saturday, the Foundation organised a blood donation exercise to support healthcare delivery within the municipality.
The outreach programme concluded on Sunday with the distribution of assorted items, including slightly used clothing, footwear, store rejects, rice, cooking oil, assorted drinks, detergents, and other household items. The items were distributed to persons with disabilities, women, orphans, the aged, and youth within the electoral area.
Speaking at the event, the Founder of the Future Builders Foundation, Hon. Wonder Gatepe, stated that the initiative forms part of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting deprived and vulnerable members of society through community-based interventions.
He expressed appreciation to the Foundation’s partners and sponsors, including Avenor Rural Bank, Agbeysco Ventures, El Shaddai, and other individuals who contributed to the success of the programme.
Beneficiaries and community leaders commended the Foundation for the intervention, describing it as timely and beneficial to residents of the area.
The activities were crowned with a Musical Thanksgiving Service held on Sunday evening, January 25, 2026. The service was organised in collaboration with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and led by Pastor Felix Asante under the theme, “A Call for Joyful Praise.”
Established on August 25, 2011, the Future Builders Foundation has undertaken several humanitarian interventions across various communities, including Live Donorkope in 2025, Gornikope in 2023, and Dzave in 2024. The Foundation has indicated plans to expand its outreach programmes to additional communities in the municipality and beyond.
The Foundation operates under the motto, “Hope for the Less Privileged.”
