Fuel Crisis Possible if Conflict Persists — COPEC Warns

The Executive Director of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), Duncan Amoah, has warned that Ghana could face a major fuel crisis if ongoing global tensions are not resolved within the next 30 days.

According to him, the situation could worsen to the extent that citizens may be forced to stay home for most of the week due to fuel shortages.

Mr. Amoah explained that the uncertainty surrounding global supply chains poses a serious threat to fuel availability in the country, especially as Ghana relies heavily on external sources.

He stressed that if the conflict continues, it could significantly disrupt supply, leading to severe constraints in fuel distribution nationwide.

The COPEC Executive Director called for urgent attention to the situation, emphasizing the need for proactive measures to safeguard the country’s energy security.

His warning comes amid growing concerns over the impact of global developments on Ghana’s fuel supply and economic stability.
