Over 5,000 farmers to benefit from Ablakwa’s free fertilizer and seedling support programme

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa

North Tongu, Volta Region – Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced a major agricultural support initiative that will provide free fertilizers, seedlings and farmer support services to more than 5,000 farmers in the constituency.

The announcement comes shortly after the MP donated freezers to women traders at the Juapong Market as part of efforts to support local businesses and improve livelihoods.

In a post shared on his Facebook page, Mr. Ablakwa said the latest intervention is aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and supporting farmers across the constituency.

“After donating freezers to our beloved Juapong market women, we now turn to our dear farmers to supply free fertilisers, seedlings and farmer support services. Over 5,000 farmers will benefit from this MP’s initiative in my beloved North Tongu this week. We shall leave no constituent behind,” he wrote.

The initiative is expected to enhance crop production, improve farmers’ incomes and strengthen food security in the constituency by providing essential agricultural inputs ahead of the farming season.

The latest intervention forms part of his continued efforts to improve the socio-economic well-being of residents and promote sustainable agricultural development within the constituency.
