The family of late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has announced plans for a Book of Condolence and a Candlelight Vigil to honour his memory.

In a statement released on July 27, the Fosu family expressed appreciation for the overwhelming love and support shown by the public following the iconic musician’s passing after a brief illness.

Book of Condolence

📍 Venue: Private residence of Daddy Lumba, Kinshasha Crescent, House No. 12 (GA-332-9264)

📅 Start Date: Tuesday, July 29, 2025

🕘 Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily

This will allow fans, colleagues, and well-wishers the chance to pay their final respects to the beloved highlife star.

Candlelight Vigil Night

📍 Venue: Independence Square

📅 Date: Saturday, August 2, 2025

🕘 Time: 6:00 p.m.

The vigil, organized in collaboration with the Creative Arts Agency, will serve as a moment for the nation and music lovers to unite in mourning and remembrance of Daddy Lumba’s extraordinary legacy.

The family, through their lawyer Fati Ali Yallah, Esq., has also requested continued privacy during this mourning period and thanked the public for their ongoing support.
