Central Tongu MP, DCE hand over 750 tables, chairs to Adidome SHS

The Member of Parliament for Central Tongu, Mr. Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze, in collaboration with the District Chief Executive, Hon. Addison Dodzi Mornyui has handed over 750 tables and chairs to Adidome Senior High School to improve teaching and learning conditions in the school.

The presentation, which took place in the district capital, forms part of ongoing efforts by the Central Tongu District Assembly and the area’s parliamentary leadership to address furniture deficits in second-cycle institutions within the district.

Speaking at the brief ceremony, Mr. Hottordze reiterated the government’s strong commitment to education, describing it as the foundation for national development and sustainable growth. He noted that adequate classroom furniture remains essential to enhancing student comfort and academic performance.

“We remain committed to investing in education because it remains the key to success and sustainable development,” the MP stated.

He expressed appreciation to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama for his continuous support towards education and human capital development across the country, adding that the gesture reflects the broader vision of ensuring quality education for all Ghanaian children.

On his part, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Addison Dodzi Mornyui, assured stakeholders of the Assembly’s resolve to continue prioritising education infrastructure and logistics, particularly in public schools facing challenges.

School authorities and students of Adidome Senior High School expressed their gratitude to the MP and the DCE, noting that the new furniture would significantly ease congestion in classrooms and improve the overall learning environment.

The donation is expected to directly benefit hundreds of students and contribute to improved academic outcomes at Adidome SHS.
