Alexander Afenyo-Markin has expressed deep concern over the recent armed invasion of former Bank of Ghana Governor Dr. Ernest Addison’s home, demanding clarity on who authorized such an aggressive and unlawful action.

During a press briefing, he questioned the justification for the raid, emphasizing that Ghana is a democracy, not a place for lawless behavior.
He highlighted the disturbing details of the attack, including the theft of valuable items such as the governor’s wife’s jewelry, and the removal of CCTV equipment from Dr. Addison’s office.
Afenyo-Markin also criticized the brutal arrest of Okete Afria Mensa, questioning whether such force was necessary and where the humane approach to law enforcement had gone.
He warned the ruling party about the dangers of political overreach, reminding them that power is fleeting and could change at any time. Afenyo-Markin called on President Mahama to ensure that his final term is remembered for justice, not for intimidation.
