Bawumia mourns with Nananom and family of late Mamponghene

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has visited Nananom and the people of Asante Mampong to commiserate with them following the passing of Mamponghene Daasebre Nana Osei Bonsu II.

Dr. Bawumia was in the Asante Mampong palace together with the team on the ‘Thank You Tour’.

The delegation was welcomed by Nana Agyakoma Difie II, the Queenmother of Mampong.

Dr. Bawumia and his entourage also visited the wife of the late paramount chief, Janet Dorothy Owusu-Sechere.

Daasebre Osei Bonsu II passed away last week after a short illness. Until his death, he served as the Vice President of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs.

He reigned for 26 years and died at the age of 86.
