Arsenal have officially confirmed that contract negotiations are underway with Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, whose current deal is set to expire on June 30, 2025.
The club announced news that four senior players will depart this summer as part of a major squad reshuffle.
Partey, who joined Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020, just completed one of his best seasons yet, featuring in 52 matches across all competitions, his highest tally since joining the Gunners. He contributed four goals and three assists, cementing his role as a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
In a statement posted on Arsenal’s official website, the club addressed Partey’s status:
The following players’ contracts also expire on June 30, 2025. Discussions are ongoing, and once matters are finalised between all parties, we will communicate in due course: Chloe Kelly, Thomas Partey, Michal Rosiak.”
Meanwhile, the club confirmed that Raheem Sterling, Kieran Tierney, Neto, and Jorginho will leave at the end of the month, marking the beginning of a wider restructuring ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Negotiations with Partey signal Arsenal’s intent to retain experienced talent while preparing for another competitive campaign across domestic and European fronts.
