Apologize for saying betting tax was not implemented- Shatta Wale taunts Amin Adam

Shatta Wale has called on former Finance Minister, Mohammed Amin Adams, to apologize to the people of Ghana following his comments about the betting tax.

After the 2025 budget was presented, Adams claimed that the previous government had not implemented a betting tax.

However, the current Finance Minister, Ato Forson, quickly contradicted him, confirming that the betting tax was introduced in the second quarter of 2024 and resulted in GHS 80 billion in tax revenue.

Reacting to Adams’ statement, Shatta Wale, a well-known gambler, expressed his frustration on social media. He sarcastically questioned Adams’ use of “we,” suggesting that Adams should apologize to Ghanaians for misleading them.

The dancehall artist also pointed out that Adams had served under the NPP government and questioned which “we” he was referring to.

Shatta Wale concluded his post with a playful but direct warning, stating that unless Adams issues an apology, the “We” party could face consequences in future elections, implying that Ghanaians might not support them again.
