The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central in Ghana, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has secured 18,000 coconut seedlings for distribution to farmers across the constituency, her office announced.
The initiative forms part of the MP’s broader efforts to promote agricultural development, enhance food security, and support sustainable livelihoods in the area.
The distribution exercise is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 14th August 2025, at Manso Amenfi, the district capital.
Farmers who previously registered for the programme are encouraged to attend the event to receive their allocated seedlings. However, the initiative is also open to new applicants. Interested farmers who have not yet registered are advised to submit their details promptly.
To register, farmers are required to send their full name and the number of seedlings needed via WhatsApp to 0551458698. The same number can be used for enquiries and further information.
Commenting on the project, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe said the distribution aims to improve household incomes and promote a resilient, agriculture-driven local economy. Her office further noted that seedlings will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis to ensure equitable distribution.
Farmers seeking additional details are urged to contact the MP’s office through the WhatsApp number provided.
