EC now causes search on validity of Injunction it used to disqualify Joana Gyan

The electoral Commission has now written to the High Court in Sekondi seeking a search to ascertain the validity of the injunction it based its decision on and disqualified the NDC Amenfi Central Parliamentary Candidate.

In a search letter dated October 16, 2024, the EC states that they want to ascertain, “whether or not the interlocutory injunction granted against the Defendants (Joana Gyan Cudjoe, The National Democratic Congress and the Electoral Commission) on 31^st may 2023 has been set aside/vacated or stayed ?
