The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Akatsi South, Bernard Ahiafor, has declared that his relationship with the Municipal Chief Executive for Akatsi South, Daniel Dagba, remains strong and cannot be broken by detractors.
Speaking during a sod-cutting ceremony for ongoing development projects in the constituency, Mr. Ahiafor dismissed suggestions of division between his office and the MCE, describing such claims as the work of naysayers.
He explained that his relationship with the MCE goes beyond politics, revealing that they were schoolmates at Abor Senior High School and have known each other since their early years. According to him, their long-standing personal bond and shared history make it impossible for outsiders to create mistrust between them.
Mr. Ahiafor added that people moving around attempting to damage their hard-earned relationship will not succeed, stressing that their cooperation is focused on delivering development to the people of Akatsi South.
He noted that the collaboration between his office and the Municipal Assembly has contributed to the rollout of several projects, particularly in education, health, and basic infrastructure, and assured constituents that the partnership will continue to work in the interest of the area.
