In a formal statement announcing his decision, Mr. Ahiable expressed his desire to renew his mandate, noting that his decision is grounded in a continued commitment to serve both Assembly Members and residents of the Municipality.
He emphasised the need to sustain unity, peace, and cooperation among stakeholders, which he believes are essential for driving development in Akatsi South.
“Colleagues, I remain committed to serving you all as well as the Municipality in a manner that shall promote our peaceful coexistence and unity which bring more development to our people,” he stated.
Mr. Ahiable further appealed for the support of fellow Assembly Members to enable him continue the work he has begun, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in decision-making for the progress of the Municipality.
He concluded by calling for love, mutual respect, and collaboration among members, whom he described as the “Great Decision Makers of Akatsi South,” while invoking God’s blessings as the Assembly moves forward.
The election of the Presiding Member is expected to take place in accordance with the Assembly’s procedures.
