Agyapadie Documents: It’s More Tribal Than Political – Hopeson Adorye

Hopeson Adorye, Director of Special Duties at the Movement for Change, has revealed that the controversial Agyapadie document is more of a tribal agenda than a political one.

Speaking on Happy 98.9 FM’s “Epa Hoa Daben” show, he emphasized that the content of the document was driven by family interests rather than political ideology.

He referred to a portion of the document which states “As the heads of Nana Apianim Kwamframa, Nana Kuntunkununku, and Ofori Panin, our people were never defeated in the wars of old… yet after 1957, we were made to live in the shadows of descendants of people who never defeated us in war, whilst the Ashanti Kingdom was uplifted to put us in the shade.”

According to Mr. Adorye, this clearly shows that the controversial document was aimed more at advancing a family agenda to gain power than addressing political issues.

The former New Patriotic Party parliamentary hopeful emphasized that the family members involved were using the party platform to further their own interests.
