A/R: 11-year-old boy found dead in Nwabi river

A dead body of an eleven year old boy identified as Vincent, has been found in the Nwabi River at Kyerease near Kronum in the Suame Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred during the night of February 15-16, 2024, leaving residents and family members in a state of shock and grief.

According to the Assembly Member of Kyerease, Mrs Joyce Osei Asibey, the incident came to light when some residents informed her about a dead body in the Nwabi River.

She therefore said she promptly notified the Afrancho police command, who retrieved the body from the river and are on investigations to find out the circumstances that led to Vincent’s death.

She stated that the body is currently at the mortuary of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Ashanti Region.
