You’re loud on harmless protests but silent on a system that shot, killed five people in election – Kwakye Ofosu

Former deputy Information Minister under erstwhile Mahama administration, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has added his voice to those championing a nation wide protest against the Electoral Commission.

He took to his Facebook handle to schools persons and organizations that are mounting pressure on the NDC to stop the protest and go to court. Felix expressed his dismay at how these people are not worried about how state security personnel has executed the killings of six people and also versed brutalities on innocent citizens. “And what is undemocratic about a protest whether spontaneous or planned ?” He quizzed.

Lamenting on the absurdity of what some NDC faithful describe as the mantra of “see no evil, hear no evil”, he posed a question saying “you are more comfortable with a system that shoots five people dead during elections and complain about harmless protests?”

The young politician who contested the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NDC and lost by a margin of 176 votes inculcated those seeking to subvert the right of the protesters.
