The Member of Parliament for the Yendi Constituency, Abdul Fatawu Alhassan, has donated a number of motorbikes to key municipal institutions as part of efforts to enhance public service delivery in the area.

The presentation, which will take place on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, is aimed at addressing logistical challenges faced by frontline public officers and improving mobility across the vast constituency.
The beneficiary institutions include the Yendi Municipal Education Office, the Municipal Health Directorate, and the Municipal Police Command.
Officials of the Education Office indicated that the motorbikes will support circuit supervisors to effectively monitor schools, particularly in hard-to-reach communities. This, they noted, will help improve supervision, strengthen teacher accountability and enhance learning outcomes.
At the Municipal Health Directorate, the motorbikes are expected to improve the reach of health workers, especially in rural areas. They will be used to support community health programmes, vaccination exercises and emergency public health interventions.
The Municipal Police Command also received motorbikes to boost security operations within the municipality. The additional logistics are expected to enhance police patrols, improve response time to distress calls and strengthen community policing efforts.Abdul Fatawu Alhassan
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Hon. Abdul Fatawu Alhassan said effective service delivery in a constituency as large as Yendi requires adequate logistical support. He explained that the donation was meant to equip education, health and security personnel with the tools needed to serve residents more efficiently.
The Municipal Chief Executive and heads of the beneficiary institutions expressed appreciation to the MP for what they described as a timely intervention. They assured him that the motorbikes would be properly maintained and utilised to improve services and enhance the well-being of residents in the Yendi Municipality.
Hon. Abdul Fatawu Alhassan, who assumed office in January 2025, has reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote development, safety and improved service delivery across the Yendi Constituency.
