When you ride on the back of lies and superficially infeasible promises or policies into power and the realities start staring at you in the face, in the kingdom of the elephant party, what do you expect?
Don’t expect them to eat a humble pie. No.
Rather, the blame is shamelessly laid on the erstwhile administration. Precisely, they blame John Mahama because they know his coming is non-negotiable and so let’s damage him.
A man who fails his nightly duties, lays the blame on errand mosquitos……
Also, if you fail to carry your load, don’t blame your head. Blame your incompetence and your inability to carry it.
The NPP was so desperate for power so much so that, anything that came to mind, was promised without scrutiny. We woke up one day to hear 1d1f, the following morning on campaign trails, we heard 1v1d. Interesting ‘fantastic’ promises. Upon assumption of office, after serious analysis and questions, they realised the policy was not feasible across the country so quickly and as usual, they changed the policy: 1v1d only in the three northern regions.
Fast forward, they excavate a small portion of land in an attempt to fulfill a campaign promise and wait for rains to drop to fill these shallow dug outs which they define as pond.
Chiefs and indigens have expressed their gross disappointment in this policy after raising expectations high.
The 1d1f policy is still lingering. Governments and its party communicators are still struggling to confuse Ghanaians. The era of propaganda is long gone. Every single voter is now eye-opened. The sector minister was emphatic and categorical at his vetting. He said “57 factories will be built in 2017”. 3 years down the line in office. We expect to see 57×3 factories in operation.
Disappointed Ghanaians are preparing their thumbs come 2020 Inn Sha Allah.
A plethora of promises are still made even in government.
There hasn’t been instances where government officials boldly say “we’ve done this and that” rather “we will do this” or funny case scenario, “we are doing this”, but we don’t see it. It never brings results.

1 student 1 WiFi,
1 student, 1 chocolate. You’ve failed in your campaign promise yet you are promising new ones.
Students are preparing their thumbs for election 2020.
In the farming sector, they’ve abysmally failed. Free fertilisers are sold. Contracts that would have benefitted the farmer and the farming community are abrogated and truncated.
In fish farming, premix fuel diverted and sold.
And so.
Coming down to the ordinary Ghanaian, fuel prices keeps increasing without announcement. Drivers who used to buy fuel for 14cedis a gallon are now paying double what they used to pay for same gallon.
Items and food commodities have shot up and keeps shooting up, making life unbearable for the ordinary Ghanaian.
Collapsing growing and private business. 40,000 workers have loss their jobs due to the inappropriate measures this current administration enrolls.
These workers will show the npp their proper place to stand come 2020 Inn Sha Allah.
Education sector in shambles.
Agriculture, same.
Health, same.
Transport, same.
Above all, Corruption now is a serious business avenue in this country. Engage in serious corruption and get cleared. At the last count, over 100 corruption case seen hit this government and none has been prosecuted even in faces of glaring apparent evidences. Corruption now is a business under this administration.
Ghanaians are impatiently waiting for 2020. If a man fails, he deserves no second term.
