Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta

The World Bank has sent a strong message to Ghana’s Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta giving him 30 days to produce the audit report on the “Ghana  Accountability for Learning Outcomes Projects (GALOP) or face legal action.

The letter dated October 21, 2022 addressed to the Finance Minister said per the financing agreement dated January 17, 2020, the minister is required to submit an audit account on how the money was spent within 6months. However, as of October 18, 2022, the country had not submitted the audited report as required by the agreement.
