Police in the Western Region have arrested two suspects in connection with a robbery and extortion incident at Wangarakrom, near Tarkwa in the Western Region.
The suspects, identified as Kwame Mumuni and Awal Benjamin, were apprehended on Monday, 31st March, in an intelligence-led operation, the Police stated in a press release.
Per the release, some of the exhibits retrieved from the suspects include: a red unregistered Suzuki motorbike, camouflage tops, three pairs of boots, a torchlight, a black face mask and an amount of GHS 645
The two are currently in police custody and will soon be arraigned before the court to face justice.
The Western Regional Command further assured the public of their commitment to combating crime in the region and urged residents to report suspicious activities to aid in maintaining security.
