The International Relations Officer for Aduana Stars Football Club, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, says his club is in a better position to win the MTN FA Cup than Asante Kotoko.

Aduana Stars will play as guests to Asante Kotoko in the Round of 16 MTN FA Cup fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 8.

The encounter promises to be tough after the first meeting between both teams ended in a 1-1 stalemate in the Ghana Premier League.

Aduana Stars, who have never won the title before, will be hoping to walk over their opponents to stand as one of the favorites.

Speaking ahead of the game, International Relations Officer for Aduana Stars, Agyeman Badu, says he remains confident his side will rise to the occasion.

“We need the FA Cup more than Kotoko, and I’m confident Aduana Stars will rise to the occasion and get the job done,” he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

Having won the FA Cup 10 times, the Porcupine Warriors, who are the defending champions, will be hoping for their eleventh title to match up with record holders Accra Hearts of Oak.

Other games that will be honored in the MTN FA Cup Round 16 matches: Dreams will take on Inter Allies, Heart of Lions will host True Life FC, and Eleven Wonders will face Attram De Visser while Berekum Chelsea takes on Tamale City.

The remaining matches are between Swedru All Blacks vs. Nations FC, Medeama SC vs. Samartex 1996, and Techiman Liberty vs. Real Tamale. United

All the games are scheduled to be played from Friday, February 6, to February 8, respectively, across all match venues.
