The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, together with the Member of Parliament for Akatsi North, Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Bless Kodjo Katamani, have inspected the ongoing Agenda 111 hospital project at Ave-Dakpa.
The visit formed part of efforts by regional and local authorities to assess the progress of work and ensure the timely completion and operationalisation of the facility to serve residents of Akatsi North and surrounding communities.
During the inspection, Hon. Gunu assured the people that steps are being taken to make the hospital fully functional to enhance healthcare delivery in the area. He emphasised that operationalising the facility remains a priority, as it will significantly improve access to quality medical services and reduce the burden on residents who currently travel long distances to seek healthcare.
The Regional Minister reiterated government’s commitment to strengthening health infrastructure across the region, noting that the completion of the project would boost emergency response, maternal care, and general medical services for the constituency and its environs.
The MP and the Municipal Chief Executive also expressed satisfaction with the progress of work and called for continued collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the project is completed to meet the healthcare needs of the people.
