Volta Region poised for 2025 National Farmers’ Day – Minister assures

The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, says the region is fully on track to host a successful 2025 National Farmers’ Day celebration, following an inspection visit to the Ho Sports Stadium on Wednesday morning.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, the Minister said his visit was to assess ongoing preparations ahead of the national event, which the Volta Region will proudly host on December 5.
According to him, the progress of work at the stadium is encouraging, and all stakeholders involved in the project have shown strong commitment toward ensuring timely completion.
“I am pleased with the steady progress of work and the commitment of all stakeholders involved. From what I observed today, we are on course to have the stadium fully ready before the celebration,” he wrote.
Hon. Gunu described the hosting of the national event as a great honour for the Volta Region, noting that the region is preparing to welcome the entire nation with the warmth, unity and hospitality it is known for.
He further highlighted the significance of the celebration, stressing that Farmers’ Day is a moment to appreciate the hardworking farmers whose efforts sustain the country.
“As we celebrate our hardworking farmers, the backbone of our nation, we look forward to showcasing the strength, culture and vibrancy of the Volta Region,” he stated.
The Minister ended his message with a firm assurance that the region is prepared for the task ahead:
“Together, let us make this year’s National Farmer’s Day a memorable one. Volta is ready!”
The 2025 National Farmers’ Day is expected to attract national attention as government officials, agricultural stakeholders and participants from across the country converge in Ho for the annual celebration.
