Communications Minister, double as Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency, Ursula Owusu Ekuful has named her top 6 Ghanaian music artiste she loves to listen all time.
The MP stated 3 contemporary and 3 old timers as her favorites in her opinion are the best when it comes to content and rhythms, which makes them standout.
In an interview, she revealed that highlife duo Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba, and Amakye Dede are musicians she love to listen because she can relate more to their songs.
She was quick to defend that, though she listens to other highlife artistes who are equally good but this three standout.
On her list the other top 3 contemporary musicians are Bisa Kdei, King Promise and Kuami Eugene.
Which according to her, are good in every way.
Daddy Lumba is a multiple award-winning Ghanaian musician with an extremely successful career spanning three decades. He is widely regarded as the greatest Ghanaian singer of all time.
Kojo Antwi on the other hand known as “Mr. Music Man”, is not only highlife musician but shown his versatility as Afro pop and reggae musical who has also won the heart of many Ghanaian till now.
Dan Amakye Dede who is also referred as “Iron Boy”, and “Abrantie”. Amakye Dede has also won the heart of many Ghanaians, which is not surprised that the minister mentioned his name as part of her top 6.
