The Nigeria chapter of the Universal Peace Federation will be unveiling the Logo of the 100,000 Africa Youth Peace Festival 2018, holding in Abuja, Nigeria during the Media Representatives Conference on September 6, 2018 at the National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja.
[ads1]The conference will bring together representatives of major media organizations to deliberate on the role of the media in the success of the youth peace festival.
In addition to the unveiling of the festival logo, the conference participants shall deliberate and develop strategies for the active involvement of media professionals in the success of the youth peace festival and the mobilization of participants to the activities and the main event.
In a press statement signed by Dr. Raphael Ogar Oko, Secretary-General, UPF Nigeria, the “UPF Ambassadors for Peace and some top media VIPs are being invited as Guests of Honor at the ceremony. It will be recalled that the hosting right of the 100,000 Africa Youth Peace Festival to Nigeria was announced by the UPF Co-Founder, Dr Mrs Hak Ja Han Moon during the victory celebration of the World Africa Summit in Senegal earlier in the year”
According to him, “The Africa Youth Peace Festival is one of the many initiatives by the Universal Peace Federation to realize the Heavenly Africa Project of the organization. The festival is expected to attract about 100, 000 participants that will feature in the different activities of the festival including the following:
- African educators conference on November 16, 2018 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja with Ministers of Education from all 54 nations of Africa as well as selected youth leaders and other stakeholders in the education sector throughout Nigeria as participants
- 100,000 Africa youth rally for peace at the Main Bowl of the National stadium, Abuja on November 17, 2018
- 5000 youth voices for peace from different religions and ethnic groups in Nigeria that will sing songs of peace
- 32 soccer teams participating in the African Peace Cup Soccer Tournament and some special sports celebrities that will be at the event to present trophies and prizes to the winners and participants
- Mr. and Miss University Pageant that will involve university students from several universities in Nigeria
- Commissioning of 1000 VIPs as Ambassadors for Peace from all over Nigeria to work for peace in their local communities
- Speeches by VIPs, religious and national leaders as well as the Founder’s address, among others
- Induction of VIPs as Patrons of the Africa Youth Peace Festival 2018 “
The unveiling ceremony will provide media practitioners with the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the purpose and significance of the festival.
