The Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) has launched a mobile banking app called the “Speed App” to make banking easy and convenient for its customers.The new App also seeks to help provide banking services at fingerprints of every customer regardless of any geographical location they find themselves.
The App was launched on Tuesday, 27th February, 2018 at Umb head office in Accra.
Speaking at the launch held at bank’s head office in Accra on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, CEO of UMB, Mr. John Awuah said the app is uniquely designed to enable quick facilitation of banking services by customers at their own convenience not necessarily always visiting the bank.
He further disclosed the App has been ready since October last year and had undergone rigorous assessment rendering it extremely secured from hackers.
Talking about digital banking he said, “I think we are on the basis of digital banking and as a country, there is a lot more to be done “.
He urges every individual to download the app on their phone to be part of UMB family and enjoy speed banking at all times.
