Tullow Ghana and its partners have resumed drilling in the Jubilee Field, kicking off a new two-year campaign aimed at increasing oil production and efficiency.

Starting this May, the phased programme will run through 2026, with additional drilling activities set for November. This marks a renewed commitment to Ghana’s energy sector following the successful completion of Tullow’s previous four-year drilling campaign in December 2024, which delivered 18 new wells ahead of schedule and under budget.

Tullow Ghana Managing Director, Jean-Médard Madama, called the restart “an exciting milestone,” expressing confidence in the country’s resource potential.

Although the Jubilee Field is entering a mature phase, it remains vital to Ghana’s oil output and economic performance. The latest campaign aims to unlock further value for stakeholders.

Tullow also recently completed a 16-day maintenance project at the Jubilee site to enhance safety and prepare for the drilling restart.
