Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has reiterated the Black Stars’ commitment to securing a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana currently leads Group I of the CAF qualifiers with 15 points, following crucial back-to-back wins over Chad and Madagascar in March. The victories have put the four-time African champions in a strong position to qualify for the tournament, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
In an interview with 3Sports, the Arsenal midfielder expressed optimism about Ghana’s campaign.
“As players, we want to be at the World Cup. We were there the last time, and we saw how nice it is. We want to be there again. Hopefully, we win the rest of the games and we will be there,” the 31-year-old said.
The Black Stars will continue their qualification journey in September, facing Chad and Mali in Matchdays 7 and 8.
With momentum on their side and Partey’s leadership in midfield, Ghana’s hopes of returning to football’s biggest stage remain strong.
