Presidential for staffer Black Stars Experience, Rex Owusu Marfo popularly called Rex Omar has stated that he is not scared of death, because there is nothing like death.
According to the veteran musician, he believes what people call death, is the body deteriorating.
Speaking on Joy Prime, the “Dada DiDa” hitmaker argued that the body is just food and water and cares less about where it’s placed when it’s time to leave.
“This body will deteriorate, and I will never die. There is nothing like death. What you call death is the body deteriorating. Where did I get this body from? When I was born, I was like this. This body is just food and water, so when the time comes for me to leave this body, wherever you put it, I care less; whoever puts it somewhere I careless. I have children and a family so I don’t need a church to bury me. The real me would have gone long ago,” he said.
He described gatherings such as churches and gatherings as human stuff, adding that burning his body or throwing it somewhere is not necessary.
“That time that guys go to churches, funerals, and whatever are all human stuff. If I die now, I’m gone. As for wherever you put this body, whether you burn it or throw it away is not necessary,” he added.
Rex Omar was appointed by President John Dramani Mahama in February 2025 to spearhead ‘The Black Star Experience,’ the NDC’s flagship culture, arts, and tourism initiative.
The programme aims to celebrate and redefine Ghanaian identity, attract investments, create new jobs, and promote tourism across the country.
It undertakes a year-round celebration in all the major entertainment, artistic, and educational disciplines.
Rex is a Ghanaian highlife musician; he has also trained as a management professional specializing in intellectual property rights, being one of the leading authorities on the subject in Ghana.
