TEIN Colleges of Education pay courtesy call on Volta Regional Minister

The leadership of the Coalition of Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of Colleges of Education across the Volta Region has paid a courtesy call on the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, at the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) in Ho.

According to the Regional Minister, the meeting focused on key challenges affecting students in the colleges, particularly infrastructure deficits and water supply issues. The engagement also explored ways of strengthening collaboration between TEIN and the Volta Regional Coordinating Council to improve student welfare and educational development in the region.

The delegation was led by Mr. Raymond Nyator, TEIN President of St. Francis College of Education, Hohoe.

Interacting with the students, Hon. James Gunu highlighted the critical role TEIN plays in shaping student leadership within tertiary institutions. He reflected on his own experience as a former TEIN executive and assured the delegation of his readiness to support their initiatives.

“I reflected on TEIN’s role in shaping student leadership, recalling my own days as part of TEIN executives, and assured them of my support. An appointment was granted for further engagement, and I expressed my willingness to work with TEIN leaders to promote educational initiatives,” he said.

The Minister further assured the students of the openness of his office to collaborate with them in advancing student welfare and development across educational institutions in the Volta Region.

“Together, we aim to advance student welfare and foster partnerships for regional educational development,” he added.

TEIN (Tertiary Education Institutions Network) is the tertiary education youth wing of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
