Student fires gun at Police Officer for Invading their ‘GETO’

gun shotA student (name withheld) at Kumasi Secondary Technical School on Monday allegedly pulled a trigger and fired at a police officer who invaded an area near the school compound perceived to be a smoking place of some notorious students.

According to sources, the security personnel this afternoon upon [ads1]receiving a tip off alleging some group of students had jumped the school wall towards the spoking area of storm the place only for one of the students to pull the trigger and fired at the policemen but however missed the target.

Sources say, another the student pulled knives and cut the hand of one of the police officers realizing they missed the target after the shot. 

The injured officer, according to reports has been rushed to the hospital by some passersby.

Background:

Reports indicate that, the Assembly Member of Patasi Electoral Area, Hon. Moses Keyi upon appeal by the headmaster of the school allegedly wrote to Ghana Police for security officers to deployed to the area guard some vantage points believed to be smoking points of these students.

Authorities of the school have recently battled these students as the students have broken the school walls of the school to provide entrance to their comfort zones.

The police have launched investigations into the matter.
