The management of the Ghana Education Service has postponed the initial reopening date for the Senior High Schools from January 9 to January 10, 2023.
This was contained in a press released from the headquarters of the Ghana Education Service with reference GES/PR/RELEASE/85.
According to the statement, it has become necessary for the shift of the reopening date due to the Saturday Holiday on Monday January 9.
This is to enable the smooth observance of the Constitution Day which is observed on January 7 of each year but shifted to January 9 this year.
Constitution Day is a public holiday in Ghana set aside to mark the coming into effect of the 1992 Constitution and the birth of the Fourth Republic. It is usually observed as a public holiday.
The press release further reiterated that the reopening date for the Basic Schools which is Tuesday January 10 remain unchanged and call on all heads, staff, students and the general public to take note.
