Shai Osudoku DCE visits Alma Mater, Donates GH₵20,000 to Support Development

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Shai Osudoku District, Hon. Ignatius Godfred Dordoe, has visited his alma mater, Akuse Methodist Senior High Technical School (AMEST).

The visit underscores Hon. Dordoe’s dedication to promoting quality education and institutional development and to investing in initiatives that positively impact students within and beyond the Shai-Osudoku District, while he generously donated GH₵20,000.

The donation was made during his recent visit to the school on Monday, February 23, 2026, as part of efforts to support teaching, learning, and infrastructural development.

Hon. Dordoe further assured the school authorities of his readiness to return for in-depth engagements aimed at addressing key challenges facing the institution.

He stressed that he will work collaboratively to strengthen the image, growth, and overall development of AMEST.

Hon. Dordoe pledged 3,000 blocks to support the fencing of the girls’ dormitory, enhancing student safety and security.

The DCE noted that AMEST serves students from across Ghana, particularly from the Greater Accra Region and the Eastern Region.

He therefore called on all stakeholders; alumni, parents, and the general public, to collectively support the school in addressing its challenges to ensure sustainable quality education.

Hon. Dordoe further assured the school of his plans to mobilize his year group (2004) and the Old Students’ Association to help bridge infrastructural and logistical gaps.

He reiterated his personal resolve to see AMEST reach greater heights and continue to shine as a center of excellence.
