Second Lady calls for transformative leadership ahead of 2024 Elections

Hajia Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady of Ghana, has stressed the need for a visionary and innovative leader to change the country’s fortunes.

She expressed her belief that her husband and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is the right candidate to lead Ghana, particularly in the current technology-driven era.

Speaking to party supporters in the Dormaa Central Constituency on Thursday, August 29, 2024, as part of her Bono Regional tour, Hajia Bawumia highlighted some of the Vice President’s achievements, especially in the field of technology. According to her, Ghana needs a leader with bold solutions to fast-track development.

The Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central and former Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, expressed optimism that the NPP would retain the parliamentary seat, citing good governance and developmental policies as key factors.

He encouraged the electorate to vote massively for the NPP to continue the work of the current government.

On his part, the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, Kwame Barfo Abronye, urged citizens to reject John Mahama and the NDC, citing their lack of developmental ideas.

He highlighted the NPP’s social intervention policies, such as the National Health Insurance and Free SHS, and appealed to Ghanaians to vote for the NPP based on their track record.
