Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Iran’s recent missile strike targeting Qatar, calling it a blatant violation of international law and regional peace.
In a press release issued on June 23, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as an unjustifiable act of aggression.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expresses its condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest terms possible, of the aggression launched by Iran against the brotherly State of Qatar,” the statement read.
Riyadh stressed that such actions violated principles of good neighborliness and international norms, adding:
“The Kingdom affirms its full solidarity with and unwavering support for the State of Qatar and places all its capabilities at Qatar’s disposal in support of any measures it may take.”

The condemnation follows Iran’s missile attack on a U.S. military base in Qatar on Monday. According to U.S. officials, the strike was in retaliation for American operations on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Qatar confirmed that its air defenses intercepted the missiles, with visible explosions in the skies above Doha. The U.S. Pentagon reported no casualties among the American troops stationed at Al-Udeid Air Base, which houses around 10,000 personnel.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump, addressing the incident on Truth Social, described Iran’s response as “very weak,” stating that Tehran gave advance warning, helping prevent any loss of life.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron criticized the legality of the U.S. strikes on Iran, although he acknowledged shared concerns about Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Macron emphasized that diplomacy remains the preferred route for resolving tensions.
The situation continues to evolve amid heightened tensions in the region, with global leaders calling for restraint and renewed dialogue.
