The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George has announced that Ghanaians students will have access to a Free 12-month Google Gemini Pro account and AI Certification starting from today.

In a facebook post, Ningo Prampram Member of Parlimant said, “As part of our efforts to put cutting-edge technology in the hands of our next generation of leaders and problem solvers, I am pleased to announce that, until December 9, 2025, you can sign up to use #GeminiApp for free for 12 months with 2TB storage as a Ghanaian student.”

The MP in the post also thank the Google for the support being offer to the good people of Ghana.

Google Gemini is an Artificial Intelegence (AI) tool designed to enhance creativity and productivity. It provides assistance with various tasks, including writing, planning, and brainstorming. Gemini grants access to Google’s AI models, enabling users to generate text, videos, and more. It appears to be an everyday tool for users seeking to leverage generative AI capabilities.
The one year Free student gemini access pogramme by Google is also available for eligible university students in several countries across Africa, including Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Students must be at least 18 years old and enrolled in higher education to be eligible for this free 12-month access to Gemini Pro and its features.
