The Deputy Director, Technical at the National Sports Authority (NSA), Mr. Saka Acquaye has passed on.
The experienced sports administrator who was popularly called ‘Fishey’ died this morning at the 37 military hospital after a short illness.
He was a former swimmer as well as a handball enthusiast.
He achieved a lot during his days as a sports person and administrator.
Aside from his numerous achievements, Mr. Acquaye would be remembered with his famous high moral chant ‘Team Ghana, Awooa!!’.
According to reports, Mr. Acquaye was 59.
